One gentleman was in great fear that what if something bad would happen. What if he would fall sick. What if his business would fail. What if God would punish him for something. What if he does something wrong?
So I asked him, why do you think bad would happen to you? Why would God punish you?
When he was growing up, for everything he heard that a nice human being should always be God fearing. He should do good, so that God does not punish him and he should not do bad, so that God does not punish him.
But because there is God God in front of him to tell that what is good or bad as per God, he was always confused and in this confusion he was in constant fears and he was scared more and more.
So i asked him, would you want your child to be scared of you or do you want to have a loving bond with your child? And the answer is ofcourse a loving bond. Then as we are children of God, why do you think he would want us to fear him? Why he would not want us to love him.
He loves us so much! We are his children. Jesus was his son and so we are too his children. he loves us and that’s why he has been working on us EverReady, every moment so that we can be better. He does not want us to live a life of fear. Because in fear we can’t be free. He wants us to be free.
Without freedom, we can’t be happy. he wants us to be happy. So it’s about loving God not fearing.
More over, when you are doing good as per your heart without fearing, why are you worried if you would be punished. You will not be. If yu are doing good, good would happen to you.
