I am a mother of twins and I have no full time help. I do not have any elder one supporting me. I live with my husband and two babies. I am working full time from home. Everyone asks me how are you managing and I always say, it’s challenging to bring them up but beautiful to see them growing. Never ever in my dream or thoughts I say that you are a mistake or I wish I had one or I had someone to support me.
I tell them everyday:
I love you
I am grateful to have you
You are a blessing
You are so wonderful and amazing
They are just 11 months old and may not understand what I am saying but I know they understand what I feel. So many times I have seen them sensing my moods.
Why it is important to mention all this.
My heart cried out when I heard from a father of two that my children are the biggest mistake of my life. How devastating it must be for children and he accepted that his elder one tells his younger one that after he arrived, his live got damaged! He hits his brother and they can’t stand eye to eye.
I felt so bad for the child when a lady was cursing her child saying you have spoiled my life. I can’t do anything because of you. All I do is clean your poop!
I was shocked when I heard from a mother, I would have done something amazing in life if pregnancy would not have happened!
So many times I have seen mothers saying, you are taking away my life.
I understand it’s challenging and it takes all we have to bring up a child. But it needs more.
How would we feel when someone is saying such things to us? How would that innocent heart feel when something so harsh would reach to it?
We take out all our anger and power on small children which is not fair to them. They were our decision and we must respect that. We have no right to get angry at them if they do not listen to us. We need to respect them the way we would respect a grown up!
Give so much love to your child that he/she grows up to be a loving individual.
Do not curse!
Do not hate!
Be there for them
Smile when you see them. Smile when they see you!
Whatever you are saying or doing right now, they are becoming that! This is your gift to yourself. This is your gift to the world. This is your gift to the God!
