One teenage girl contacted and shared that she has problems with her family. her family is too judgemental of her. For everything they have a comment and she is a bad girl because she does not do anything as per them. After hearing her entire story, I asked her do you like them the way they are and the answer was yes. I love them. Do you want to change them? She thought for a while and said no, they are good as they are because I know they love and care for me. I have come here, so that I can handle the stress I am going through. Everyday when I wake up, I hear few things against me and then the whole day is like this. I try to ignore but it’s too much, so I need to handle it. The reason was, she was dressing up as per her own style, eating things as per herself, had chosen a job which her family did not like. I was amazed and happy as she did not want to change anyone. She had accepted her family the way they are.
Conversation with her reminded me of the painter who made a painting and kept it in the middle of a market with a caption that please mark all the mistakes. (He had thought that he had made a wonderful piece and everyone would appreciate). Next day, hen found no visibility of painting but all red marks. He got very disappointed. His friend asked him to make another one but this time the caption was, please point out the mistake, and correct it. Next day, it was pristine, no one had touched it.
We all have expert opinion about everything and everyone. I wonder, who made this world and of course the answer is God. Are we so superior, that we have the capability to judge God and his creation? He has his presence in everyone and everything. So everyone is representing him. So are we so capable that we can judge him actually?
We need to see things as we know that everyone is created by him. So how shall we start?
We grew up with a training when others have judged us. In the mind, we keep judging self and after that others. So first of all, we need to stop judging self and accept self the way we are. After that we will be able to accept others too.
So tell yourself, I am happy the way I am, I accept myself as I am and I accept all.
Why it is important? So that we can be free of many un-required thoughts and we can bring in more love in the relationships.
