I always valued my health. I am an early riser, I do not eat late, except occasionally, I do not eat junk. I do exercise regularly and I maintain my peace. However, with age, I have also experienced some age issues and I have worked on them regularly, maintaining furthermore and regular healthy lifestyles. A few years back, I had a headache and I was unable to focus on anything. I was irritated and if someone even called to say hello, I was like why did I have to take this call. That time, I realized that if I want to do all the things I have planned and I want to be happy, I need to be healthy. If I would not have a healthy body, I would not be able to do anything. For that, instead of curing things, I need to focus on maintaining good health and I need to do things that will keep me healthy. While understanding my body, I also realized that I need to have a positive state of mind to have a healthy body. Our emotions and thought process affect our health directly. I was stressed, I had a headache. Someone called up that she was having a high fever and it was not coming down. She had a fight with her husband a few days back and she was unable to get over that argument. However, when she finally discussed it with her husband, the fever came down.
So many such incidences confirmed to me that I need to work on my mental and emotional health too.
When we are young, our body can take bigger hits. It’s like a new car can run on any road. But when the car gets old, you cannot take it on every road. You need to be careful, how you drive your car. Similarly, as we get old, we need to be more careful about our health and thought process.
So what shall be done?
- Wake up early, take fresh air.
- Have an intention of having a healthy body throughout your life. Set this intention everyday.
- Eat healthy food and avoid junk food.
- Take your nutrition.
- Do not hesitate from discussing with doctor.
- Do not ignore the warning signs.
- Do your exercise regularly. At younger age you may not need all the exercise but as we grow we need more.
- Think positive. Write down positive things if needed.
- Do good things. Good Karma also brings good health.
- People who have done bad things do not have good health in the end.
