If you believe it’s god, if not then it’s just a rock. It’s a very famous age-old saying in India. And it’s not wrong. India is a land of culture and faith. Every corner we will find a place to worship and we will find many religions living together. However, there is a difference between worshipping and faith. There is a difference between religion and faith. Faith gives us hope, faith gives us strength, faith makes us divine, faith brings divine to us.
When I was small, my mom used to tell me a story. There were two monks, they both were worshipping the Lord to meet him, to get him. Narad muni came over and they asked him to take a message to God and ask, when will they meet God. To one man the answer was a few more years and to one monk the answer was as many lives as the number of leaves on a tamarind tree. The latter one started dancing with the happiness that he was going to meet the lord does not matter how long. Another one, who was supposed to meet in a few years, threw away his rosary and said, it’s all wasted. The God appeared in the split second for the one who was dancing. Narad Muni asked how is it possible. God smiled and said, it’s his faith. His faith is so strong that he is connected to me right away.
No one is closer to God and no one is far from God. The stronger the faith, the stronger he is. Know that he is there, ask him to be there, call him with love, call him to guide you to protect you, to love you. He is always there.
