She was a very aggressive child. She was always hitting everyone in the class. No one wanted to be with her. I asked her mother, do you hit her? Her mother said that yes. I have to, otherwise, how would she listen to me. Sometimes, It’s ok, but how much do you hit her? Couple of times in a day. And everytime, it seems like she is becoming more tolerant of what I do and say, so I have to increase the hitting. I asked the child, are you scared of your mom and she said yes. But then why do you do so? So that I can irritate her. This answer surprised me! But eventually you are getting hurt. So I have stopped sharing things with her now. Then she looked at me and asked, why are you telling her everything? After that she always did things but her mother did not find out. She realized that if her mother would not find out, she would not get a spanking. So she started stealing things, putting them in others bags, so that they will be caught. But one day, she told me, why you never hit me? I looked at her and said, because I love you. She asked me further, so do you like it when I do bad things? And no! So what would you like? You to be a good student. Who is loved by everyone, rather than hated by everyone. You have fears and then you are creating fears in everyone else. But when you would have love, you would create so much love. It was like God was guiding all my words that day. She hugged me and said, please do not stop loving me and I hugged her back saying never. She started improving a lot and in two years, she was excelling in all the subjects. When I looked at her, I couldn’t’ be prouder.
Everyone and everything around us need lots of love. Including our work, business, employees, people we work with, people who are in our authority, everyone. If you really want best in everything and yourself, bring in love. Fear is not the solution. Love is!
