One 30 years old lady who was just kicked out by her husband because his mother did not like her (Acceptance by husband’s family is a big issue for every girl in Indian society) was sitting distraught. She hadn’t worked in last many years and did not know where to go. She contemplated on committing suicide but something inside her stopped. ON one hand she felt there are the reasons that she did not want to live but she felt like someone is saying it’s such a precious life why do you want to end it? Because someone treated you badly? Because someone did not value you? But if she ends her life then it would mean that she also did not value herself. Why she should end just because someone did not take care of her? But then she can do that for herself.
She got up and decided that it’s my life and I would do everything to make it. It took her few months to reach to this level of strength that I need to do everything to stand again. She applied for job but in vain. She took up a small job after few months which helped her in regaining her confidence. Then she started her own small business of trading various products. She spoke to various vendors in whole sale market, understood their needs and started sourcing those products at the cheapest available option and started earning. It took time and effort but she made it. After that she looked at herself, always, smiled at herself in the mirror and felt proud of herself. She loved her life, which she wanted to end few years back, she loved herself. She healed it with her own love and hard work and she was living it happily.
We all go through various situations in life and if we are waiting for someone else to come and do something for us, probably we would be waiting and feeling hurt, disappointed and frustrated. Instead of that if we start spending same energy in rebuilding ourselves, we would have a better life. It’s our life and we need to take 100% responsibility of it.
