Met two sisters. One was very happy and one was not. One was always telling her husband that look at my sister’s husband, how much he loves her. How he keeps looking at her face all the time. Her husband, so many times told her that he did not care if she left. They were going through a rough path in their relationship. She always wondered what bad she had done to deserve such a time? She asked her sister, and her sister told her that her sister had stopped existing to take care of the family. She left her job, took care of the children, served her husband and his parents and that is why everyone looked at her. Her sister also helped anyone whom she saw needed help. So everyone loved her and was always telling her that how precious she was. On the contrary, the first one was more focused on her own friend circle, going out, partying at least thrice a week etc. Whenever someone asked her, she always said that she really wanted to live her life for herself. Whenever she saw her sister also doing house chores, she told her that she was wasting her life. No one would value her sacrifices. But her sister always replied that she was doing it for her family. The younger one was precious to her family and no one cared about the elder one in her family.
One gentleman always helped people around. He went to slums to teach children. he arranged medical facilities for them. He helped them with the employment. And one day he met an accident. He was hospitalised> he was only 24 years old. But there were some 500 people standing outside the hospital and they all said that his life was very precious.
One gentleman started a factory and he was very kind to his workers. He had some 1000 workers in the family. His wife always distributed clothes for worker’s family and arranged for the books and education of their children. Everyon eprayed for the couple’s happiness and prosperity.
Yes, we become precious when we add value to life and this value is added when we add value to other’s lives. If we are serving just self, we are serving no one. But if we start serving others, that’s when we truly become precious.
