One lady called up and asked how does Karma work? These question generally come from the situations we are dealing in our mind or in our lives. So I asked her in detail, from where was it coming?
So she shared that, she got married into a joint family. She had been dealing with everyone for many years. She had tried managing everything. Sometimes, people are abusive also. They will give food to the maid but not to her so many times. So she wanted to live separately with her husband but she was scared. Would she pile up the karma of separating her husband from his family? Would she pile up the karma of not serving his family? What if it was her destiny to live like this? What if she was running away from her own karma and suffering.
So here is a simple thing!
What if you get a terrible headache? Would you take a medicine or not? Would you visit a doctor or not? How would you help everyone if you have a headache? By taking medicine, aren’t you running away from your own karma? Shouldn’t you be suffering and fulfilling your Karma? How would you finish your other things if you have a headache? Would it impact your contribution to other things or not?
The answer was simple. She would take a medicine so that she could feel healthier. So that she could do her other things better.
So this was a headache now. Or an emotional pain. Mostly, we disregard emotional pain but we do not realize it is stopping us from doing other things. We are in no situation to help ourselves or anyone else. We are unable to give happiness to the next generation also we are raising. If we are crying inside, this is what we would give to the next generation also. isn’t that our responsibility too? Aren’t we failing on that Karma?
I would say, you have every right to protect yourself. If they treat you nicely and then you do bad things, it’s a bad karma but to protect yourself is always a good one.
