One gentleman who looked very happy and satisfied in his later part of life shared his experience about life. I love hearing those stories. We have so much to learn from them. These stories share some important message. They are the story of determination, hardship, how we have chosen right over wrong, how we chose light over darkness, stories of resilience and courage. Every ordinary story has an extraordinary message in them. So he shared that, when he was young, he did not get a job. He wanted to work in Mumbai and his father wanted him to do a small job in a village. He wanted to make it big. So he came to Mumbai and started searching. For many days he slept on railway benches and ate only bread. HE would keel looking for the job the whole day. He cursed his struggle and how he starved. But where was the cursing taking him? Every day his life was becoming worse and he was becoming bitter. So one day he realized he had to do something to earn a little bit of money too. So he took up some night jobs for shifting and driving trucks. One day, the truck transport owner asked him his story and he shared. By this time, his arrogance had gone and he had become humble. He had realized what he could do. He was no longer bitter towards his family as he knew what they did for him. And this was his own journey, not theirs. While talking to the owner of the truck, he realized, he had become a better human being.
So he got his first job in Mumbai that day and he could rent a small place to live in. Then his job grew and eventually, he had his own transport company. He shared that he was grateful for all the struggles he had faced as this had made him who he was. Including the money. It is like God wants you to get rid of all that is not required and then make you a better deserving. Maybe he is testing too that if you could handle all the money and power. He accepted that only way to go up in life is to hold the hand of love. That gives you courage, that gives you compassion and that gives you strength. It also brings you Universal support because that is where the light is. You do not have Universal support without light.
So always be grateful for all the tough times because they are the opportunity to the better ones. They open a doorway to a better you and a better life.
