Someone asked, what shall be someone’s behavior when they start earning lots of money?
I wonder why this question even exists. But still I asked, what do you mean by that?
He shared that when he was growing up, he saw lots of rich boys in the class. He saw them with expensive things. He saw them spending money. So he always wondered how it would be like to have lots of money. But still why are you asking? He shared that he has started earning lots of money. HE is earning more than anyone around in his circle. As he grew up desiring that life style, he adopted that life style. HE would spend money, party, and then he would spend more. But then it was never enough. In fact, he felt that his money was not growing as it was earlier. So what is the correct life style? May be because you focused on creating a wealth to have that life style and when you had that and you did not feel happy, it did not. Or may be you were spending so much that you did not see the growth. But then the big question stays.
So what shall we do? How much do you spend on a weekend to party and for entertainment. Around 30000 rs. Do one thing, use this money to help around and make sure this weekend, you do spend this much. So he went out, helped his employees. He also helped an orphanage. He also helped one priest who could no longer go for temple customs, and he helped a few more. HE had helped at least 10-12 people over the weekend. He wondered if should have done that. Then he lied down on his bed and wondered which road he wanted to choose and what was he gaining. When he was spending for entertainment and party, he felt more competitive. He felt anxious. He felt a need to maintain that social stigma. He also felt a need to spend more next time so that he could be ahead in race. He felt powerful but anxious. But when he thought of servicing and help, he realized it was divine. Everyone blessed him. HE could share more smiles, and then he felt a peace. He realized that he could help so many people in the same amount. He gained peace and happiness.
Forget about what would grow. And what comes back karmically. It is about how we feel instantly.
