A 30 years old lady said that I can never be happy or I am never happy and why. She said that I do not know. So the question is do you want to be happy? She said yes. So we agreed upon an experiment. She would write all her thoughts honestly and share, so that we can work upon them. As it is a difficult task, she agreed to do it only for three days. Three days is a long time. Here are few of the things:
In my first class, how could my class mate say that I am ugly. I am beautiful. But I have a bad skin, may be that’s why he said that.
My husband did not bring me a gift on our first anniversary and he asked my mother in law to buy me one.
I have many clothes but how can they be better then my sister in law.
My mother is so bad. She is partial towards my sister.
My sister is always scheming against me. She told my childhood bad things to my husband. Does she want to create difference between us?
He does not love me, he wants to get rid of me.
What if my husband would leave me?

So we all have many thoughts and here are the things which we do:
1. We hold on to stupid things like childhood memories
2. We want approval from everyone
3. We compare ourselves a lot
4. We pay too much attention to what others are saying and talking
5. We focus a lot on what others have
6. We judge everything
7. We expect a lot and in our way only
8. We lack gratitude for what we have
9. We find faults in everyone including the ones who love us most
10. We trust very less
11. We use a negative vocaboulary
12. Our positive thoughts are very few or not there
13 We have many fears which are baseless
14. We lack self appreciation and compassion
15. We have not been taught to forgive (We keep carrying the burden)
All these things are doorway to unhappiness. If a person is having these things all day, how he or she would be happy? So we need to take a tight control on what we are thinking because that is creating our feelings which eventually defines the quality of our life. If we are happy we say, my life is good. If we are not, we say, my life sucks! So here are the few things which we can tell everyday:
I forgive everyone and myself
I receive love and I give love
I am beautiful
My life is beautiful
I am grateful for…….
I have a great family…
We can make own list..and we would see the change after that.
