Met a saint, and he told me, if we do all this, we would attain Moksha. So many things he told me like Japas etc. That is ok, I am not against all that. He asked me, I did not want Moksha or I cannot walk the path?
I asked him what would happen, if we attain Moksha? He said that we would attain the freedom from rebirth. We would not have to come here and go through the painful process.
And why is it so bad was my question? Is Earth so bad? Then why the Earth is going through all this? Why can’t we come back here again and again and do so many things? Why can’t we serve people and make this world a better place? Moksha or no moksha if we reach there, then it’s over. Then what’s the fun.
How would you like, if you have lots of money, it’s never ending and then will you stop doing anything? OR will you make better use of that money? Will you try to create a better world with that? Will you help people with that? Will you make schools, hospitals, create jobs, help people in leading a better life and create something better for themselves and then eventually for this world.
Attaining Moksha is like having all the abundance and doing nothing with that. I would want to come back, and yes, if in the process we need to go through pain, I would like that and then make an effort for myself and this world.
It’s an individual thing. I am not saying Moksha is bad. I am sure it gives a goal to people to lead a better life. But it also creates a fear of living here. That this world is a bad place, and we must make an effort to not come back here. As per me, this world is a beautiful place and Mother earth deserves some love and compassion, and we shall be happy living here and serving here. I would not want to be in a place, where we use all the resources of hers and say, it’s a bad place. I would want to hug her and tell her, it’s the best place of this Universe. And I am happy being here and work here.
