I visited an orphanage and I saw many parents waiting in queue to adopt a child. They were crying and when they finally could adopt one, I could see the happiness in their eyes. They were ready to give any amount of money to the orphanage to support but what they were getting could never be bought from money. Then in the hospital I saw many parents trying to get treated so that they could be blessed with a child. It was an expensive treatment. They had money but they did not have a child. I also got an opportunity to visit slums where someone had relinquished his son and wife and had married someone else. She said that she was happy, now she would be able to start a new life. He used to beat her daily. It surprised me and all the crying faces who wanted to have a child were appearing in my vision. I wondered if there could be a balance. he could leave behind a family and many were dying to have one. So many times, I get cases in which people are living alone and want to have a family. Infact, once a man was crying saying that, lucky are the ones who have wives who fight with them because I do not have one. He got married and his wife had left him for someone else after two days of marriage and since then he had never married again. Someone was cursing being married and someone even wanted all the fights too! When I was asking the question for balance, I got the answer. Everyone has own package of life and we all need to realize what all we have. We do not get everything but what we have is what we need to realize and be grateful, so that we can realize what we have. Quality of life does not depend on what we have, it depends on how we feel about life. That can improve only when we start appreciating:
What we have, instead of complaining about what we do not have
When we learn to love, rather than hate and compete
When we start being grateful instead of cursing own life
Our life is simple, but somewhere we complicate it with our thoughts and feelings. We live in so many layers. If instead of making things complicated, if we learn to be true to ourselves, accept who we are, and learn to appreciate and be grateful for what we have, we would be able to remove many layers. After that we would be able to how much light we have inside and that would illuminate our life and many more lives around.
So let’s make a list a what all we have and we would see we have a lot
Let’s make a list of what others are doing for us and we would see we have no reason to complain in life!
