At the age of 50, he was really worried. He was stressed and slipping into a deep depression. He had to sell his house due to business losses. He wondered what people would think of him. I asked him that he was sad due to loss of business or what people would think of him? He shared that deeply what bothered him was that how people would react when he would sell his house? He would lose his respect in the society.
Well, then the good news is, people are respected truly for their Karma and not for their houses. They may talk about temporarily, but they would also tell his stories that how he stood again in his life. They keep changing their opinion, and they talk about for various reasons. But my next question is, how would you manage business? Well for that he answered, I trust myself. I know I will create everything again. Then do not bother and start focusing on what’s next and how would you manage that. Within five years, he recovered and bought a new house.
He was just a 12 years old small child. But because of his family culture, he was way too much focused on others’ approval. His mother dependent on that and he learned that. As he always awaited others’ approval, because of the fear of what others would say, he stopped interacting, and he became a quieter child. When he started working on his own thought process and how he could be he started opening up, and he started feeling better. He started focusing on his goals and his vision, which brought him success.
Our thoughts create our reality. If focus on what others are thinking, we are wasting our precious energy on something which has no use. But if we start foucsing that energy on what we have to do next, where we have to reach, we will grow and we will triumph over every situation in life.
