I love festivals..I love colours…the colours bring variety to anyone’s life which makes our lives so beautiful. For me any day is a festival, if you wanna celebrate. However, I do not believe in mere customs which have become rituals with time. We do not know why are we doing it or why we are following a particular ritual. Naa…festivals are about spirit thats why we have seen people playing with colours when they have a victory. Holi in particular is favourite of many north Indians especially kids. They start planning for Holi in advance. They start collecting their weapons…hahah yeah..its like weapons these days…and they bargain to plan every day. Why do kids do such things and we grown ups dont do? Because for them there is no difference in any day. They are away from any atrocities and they are celebrating life. However, what lacks in both grow ups n kids both is the true spirit of Holi. We all know the legend behind this festival. So it is celebrated to triumph the victory of good over bad. To celebrate the victory of good over evil. Now definitely we do not have demons or monsters around us..for whom we need an incarnation of God to kill them…however, we do have lots of evils inside us..which I do not even want to discuss here…we need to win over those…there is no excuse that everyone else is doing so..these days who follows…if everyone else is corrupted does not mean you corrupt yourself too…this life is not about what others are doing..it is about what you could do and what you are. You need to thrash those evils inside you..so that you can see your soul which is pure and you can add all the beautiful colours to your pure soul to celebrate the life in true manner.
