Someone asked me, what is Karma?

Do good and receive good. But if I am good then why good is not coming back to me many times?

Well, sometimes there are multiple forces running behind the scene. But still, in the end, the result has to be good.

What is Karma again?

Something done with good intentions and when you do it, you feel good. When you do it, you know you are doing the right thing. So thinking good and feeling good is an example of that.

Can you please explain?

There are a few people who are making donations of the same amount. One gave to save his tax. One gave this amount to get his name written on a nameplate. One gave to help people. One gave out of fear of the future and to create good Karma. As their actions are the same, would they have same result? NO! Because their actions are backed by different intentions. One with the intention to help will have the best return.

What about feeling?

You are upset about something in the office. You reach back home, you have no intention of shouting at someone, but because you are so irritated that you end up shouting. The feeling is guiding your action. Then there is a huge fight at home, you blame others but in reality, it’s your feelings that are creating this fight. So we need to make sure we are feeling peaceful and loving.

Training of Karma is limited or incomplete if we think only of the actions. But in reality, thinking good and feeling good is a part of Karma. If we are thinking good and we are feeling good, they will guide our actions and will create actual good Karma. Then the result also will be at all the levels.

So what do we have to do?

To actually have a good life, this is the only option we have. Think good, feel good and do good. Then the life will start turning out good.
