There is a story in Mahabharata. When both sides were preparing for the battle, both Arjun and Duryodhan went to seek Krishnas help. Arjun sat in Krishna’s feet as he was a devotee and Duryodhan sat towards the head. He represents ego here. When Krishn wakes up, he looks at Arjun and asks, what does he need. Duryodhan says that he came first, so it is his right to speak first. Krishna says that I saw Arjun first, so he will get the first right. Three of them knew that both sides wanted Krishna’s help. Krishna says that Arjun will get the first right to choose. On one side it’s my entire army and on another side, it’s only me, who would not even pick up any weapon during the battle. Duryodhan started praying that Arjun shall not ask for Krishna’s army as what can be done with empty handed Krishna, who would not even touch the weapons. Arjus sits in Krishna’s feet, folds his hands and says, for him, having Krishna is more than enough. Duryodhan feels happy and relieved. We all know, who won the battle and what happened to whom. Becausde Dharma will always win, truth will always win and love will always win.

Now, here Duryodhan represents ego and Arjun represents love. Ego wants God for the kingdom of God not for God himself. Love wants God and does not care about his kingdom. Well, God follows love.

When we are doing anything, making any decision, we need to make sure, we choose as per where we want to reach. It cannot happen if we choose the path of Adharma and we do not face any consequences. There was a lady, who mistreated her mother in law, abused her and did not allow her husband to meet his mother. She had two sons and her husband kept asking not to do such things or else she would face the consequences. She fought further saying, you are cursing me. Well, after a few years, her two sons shifted out, her husband became very ill and she was tending to him all alone and her sons rarely spoke to her as they did not have time. They rarely visited her and she cried a lot. She wanted to have a family when she grew old, but she took away a family from someone. She could not have a family when she needed one.

Do the right thing, even if it means, stepping out of your comfort zone. Choose Dharma, choose the path which spreads love. You will always have God by your side.
