When I was small, I heard a story. There were two sisters, and they got married in different households. But had similar set ups. Like old times, they had to do all the chores. So the father went to meet both of them one by one. One looked very happy. She would run and finish a task, saying it is so peaceful here. I am healthy and can do all the things. She would talk a little and then would run to finish things. The father felt very satisfied and then went to meet the second one. She looked haggard and stressed. he asked if everything was ok and she was furious. She said that, I have to do everything here myself. No one helps me. There is so much to do.Whole day I keep working. The father asked, from whom she was expecting some help? She did not have an answer as her husband and father in law would go to work, her mother in law was old and was taking care of other responsibilities and she his daughter had to take care of the children and the chores. HE wondered if its the expectation or the situation.

So many times, I meet people who are unhappy because they have a lot of expectations from others and I also meet people, who trust their own karma. Who get up and do things. Such people are always more successful and happier.

People who say, my father did not do this for me or my mother did not do this for me, will always have one or more reason to complain and they will forget that the person responsible for doing everything in life is self. This is a land of Karma and in one or another way, equal opportunities and challenges are designed for everyone. How we respond to life, depends on us. So,instead of wondering, how many opportunities others got, think, how many you have and how you can rise above everything else. Instead of holding others responsible for your life, take charge, get up and do things.
