I was teaching students. They came from different backgrounds and they belonged to a section of society we just interact with to get our domestic work done. They were kids of domestic maids, rickshaw pullers, vegetable vendors etc. So I started with my favourite topic, God and gratitude. As soon as I spoke the word God, there was so much of whispering in the group. So one said I do not believe in God. And immediately he pointed towards another girl and said that she believes in God. She followed Christianity. As per him, only she believed in God. And he believed in Bhagwan! Another one stood there and said he believes in Allha. First of all I was happy that kids of different faith were sitting there together. But then I asked them, who teaches you all this and whats the difference? They started laughing and said Madamji there is no difference as one is in English and one is in Hindi but still they are different!
So I have trained my daughters that God live in your heart and you live in his heart. She immediately spoke same. Mama God is here and I live in his heart too. I wanted to cry and felt proud. And then I asked her what does God say? She smiled feeling proud saying, I want to do lots of good things today! Exactly, like God had spoken! Whatever inside us asks us to do good, love others, be good, honest is God inside us. He is not separated from us. He is a part of us. We say, we are a part of him, but then I would say, he is a part of us too. And whatever inside us, asks us to be bad and do bad is not God. It is the presence of Devil or absence of God. Yes, that’s what I feel. Absence of God created devil. Or absence of love created devil. More we love, more we do good, more we become God. More we do the right things, more we help people, we become God. Because we give a way to inner God to come out and shine. God is reflected in every good deed we do. Our own divinity is God. Our love is God. Our own goodness is God. Believe in own goodness and you will find God inside yourself.
