My 3.5 years girls were going to school at 7 am. One was smiling and other was not. They both are beautiful. Infact to parents, all kids look very beautiful. So the one with the smile looked so beautiful and I asked the other one, why are you not smiling today? And the first statement which came out was, you look so beautiful with a smile. So she shared her concerned that she had hurt herself when she was jumping around and she felt pain. Anyway, she cheered up after that and I was thinking about smiles all day.
Smile is the most important part of any presentation in life. Whether it is for a picture, work, relationships or anything. Scientifically, they can do many things like relieves stress, anxiety, depression. makes you more approachable, makes you a better person and more creative.
But few things which we know already. If someone is not smiling, we do not like to talk to that person much. We find that person less attractive. But if someone smiles a lot, we do like that person more. Now, for the depression part, actually it plays an important role. Few years back, I remember a gentleman had come, who had not spoken to anyone for months. So the first thing, I asked him was to look into the mirror and practice to smile along with other things. In few days, he was smiling and then talking. Smiles actually helps you in handling depression. Two cannot go along. If you are smiling even if it is by practice, depression cannot stay or anger cannot stay.
Start practicing. There is nothing called as fake smile because soon it will trigger the real patterns of happiness in brain and you will have better chemicals and better memories coming.
Smile and be happy. You look beautiful. Do not find reasons to smile. You are the reason. It makes beautiful both inside and outside.
