Under his wife’s influence he left his parents in an old age home. One day he saw a dream that he was old and he did not have any place to go. he could not even find an old age home. HE woke up and went to visit his parents and found out they had been dead. He was going through pain of doing wrong to his parents, fear of Karma and many emotions. More than anything else, he was facing guilt of doing bad. However, just feeling bad would not help. He wanted to do something. He joined that old age home in his free time and started serving poor. After few years, he got another dream that he was living an abundant life in old age. He knew what he did was forgiven but he also knew that this was his life purpose. He kept serving people and he opened an old age home eventually.
Not out of fear, not out of guilt, not out of duty, but out of love, we must serve people and everyone and everything around us. God has been supporting us, loving us, serving us in every possible way. How we can pay him back…by serving his people. Why serving his people because he is present in them. When they are in pain he is in pain. When they are happy, he is happy. he hasn’t found any other happiness. Everyone is dear to him, everyone is his child. Helping each other is like one body part is serving another body part, It is not an obligation, it is self support. It is like if hands are feeding mouth, it does not mean hands are obliging mouth. It is serving hands too. If mouth will not eat, hands will become weak too. Similarly, if we do not live in harmony and do not support each other, whole body will become weak.
We must support each other as we all are connected. That is the only way of supporting self and strengthening each other. So serve his people to serve him and that is the best way of self service.
