He grew up in an environment, where he was always judged and criticized. He learned only, how to criticize others. That’s how he was treated and he was treating everyone else now. But he wondered, why he was not peaceful and happy.
We can never be happy, when we make others feel bad. When we say bad things to people, they feel bad and that’s why we are not happy or peaceful. So he had to reverse the pattern. But he had to work hard for that. He started choosing one person. But that day he could not find any as he felt everyone had some or other problem, so how can he talk nice about them. But after looking for few days, he could someone, for whom he talked really well. After that he felt very good about himself, that I could finally do. This way, he started giving compliments. Now, the cycle changed. Whatever you are giving, you are receiving back. He also started receiving compliments. People started talking nice about him. They wanted to stay more around him. he wondered was it his own negativity or was it something else which was keeping people away. He felt a genuine love flowing from him and to him. For him no one was bad. Everyone was a nice human being or atleast making an effort to be nice or having a desire to be better. If someone is not good looking, but atleast he/she is making an effort to look better. If someone did not have enough money, they were making an honest effort. Similarly, he started seeing better side of everything in life. The compliments he started receiving, started making him feel that he wanted to do better. He realized that, this way even others also must be feeling. They also would want to do something better. So this was he felt he is making an effort to make this world better or atleats in daily life, when people are low or busy, he is making them feel better. It was a win win situation for everyone.
Can we do this? Can we start creating better humans. Can we start creating a better world. Every small thing counts.
