I was teaching in school at that time for few days. For one student his mother told me that if I could help her in fixing his eating habits. He would eat anything. I asked her that how he got trained for all that? She told me that they live in a joint family and to make him smile everyone ends up giving one or other junk food to him. So he does not eat his healthy food and he would eat anything junk all the time. So it means, the family also had bad eating habits. So how was their health? She looked down shyly and shared that they are over weight and her husband would say that it’s one life and he wanted to enjoy. He did not want to waste that in not eating what he liked. So finally one day doctors gave an alarm. They told him that id he would not maintain his life style he would be inviting many diseases. He had started becoming breathless. Then he consulted a proper dietician. She also told him same. If he wanted to live longer, he had to eat only healthy foods. He still did not listen. Then his body started giving up. He would have pains here and there. He would not be able to stand for very long. He did not feel like going to office much. Then he realized that he was losing life by not respecting his health.

Health is very important. Without a good life, we cannot live our life to the fullest. We can only live properly, if we maintain our health. Eating right, doing regular exercise, keeping mind healthy and emotions healthy, they all are a part of maintaining health. Do not take your body for granted. Invest your time and money in maintaining health. Its one life and yes it’s one life, which makes it more precious. So spend it doing the right things. Health is not to be ignored. Take care of your health. It’s very precious.
