Last year one 59 ear old man had come to me for counselling and he was quite established. Was running a big corporation with huge profits. His monthly turnover and profits were in crores. However, he was very insecure inside and because of that he was unable to sleep properly. It was no wonder to me because I could see that the person he is projecting outside is much bigger than the real person inside him and he was scared that what if people would get to know his real side. Many a times, people do things which they feel they should not do to reach to a level where they desire. On the way their greed takes over their conscience and when they an accounting of life, the find themselves weak in knees. The find a hollow life. Thats why the always thrive on what others think about them as they do not think very high of themselves. However, a person of content would never be scared or insecure about what others would think about him or her as he know what he is. Even if someone would point a finger at him, he would not be scared. He will not depend on anyone else’s approval to live his life. You will find more depth in his character than the outside view. He would be like a sea, from outside only the waves would be visible but inside he would be vast as a sea. You need to decide if you want to be like a wave which dies as soon as it rises or you want to be like a sea. If you want to be like a sea, then follow your conscience and grow inside, you will never be insecure.
