Two years back, March 2020, we all faced an unprecedented situation. The government announced lockdown. First time we had heard such things. We were all home bound. No one was stepping out or let’s say was allowed to step out. The pollution decreased. The AQI improved in just two days. We could feel the difference in the quality. WE did not have to do anything to improve the air or the Earth. We just had to stop doing the things which were making it bad.
Similarly, it is for the body. The body is very intelligent. It can heal on its own. But we need to make sure we stop doing the things which are making us unhealthy and the body will reciver. Also, the mind will get a message that you want to recover and you want to be healthy, so it will start supporting it better. I have seen, whenever I have visited a mountain area for a holiday, within two days, the body starts becoming healthy. Their food is fresh, air is better and yes, we walk more. So what all do we need to do?
It’s the same thing. First of all, stop adding chemicals to the body as much as you can. Start eating fresh food. Do not eat packed or preservative based food. Eat healthy. Do not eat refined oil, do not eat processed food and the list is long and we all know it.
Wake up early. It helps us in improving the harmonal balance. Both moon light and sun light are important. Take sun light. Breathe in fresh air. Set the positive intentions for the day.
And exercise, walk, keep your body moving, in whatever way you can. Lack of movement will anyway create so many problems.
Now, above all, a positive mindset. Without that, nothing would work, no medicine would work. Even science acknowledges the placebo effect. have a positive view about the body and life and health and everything else.
My mother used to say “Pehla Sukh Nirogi Kaya” and now, with age, I realize and accept it more and more. take care of your health, its a blessing. Have a happy healthy life.
