Few days back I met a girl who got married recently and she had chosen the guy herself. After 3-4 months of her married life, she started regretting for choosing such a guy. She dated him for almost a year before getting married. She rejected the guy chosen by her parents. When I probed further I got to know, she had her own reasons before choosing the guy and she chose him with a long checklist and after marriage when that list appeared to be a distant dream she started regretting her decision. She mainly chose him for financial security but ignored other things which come in a package. She got the financial security but she could not handle other things. This is not one off case, I met another gentleman, who married as per his choice and later on regretted being with that girl as he married her because of the thoughts that as he had dated her, what would others think of him if he didn’t marry her and many other reasons like this. Whenever you are inclined toward a person unnaturally not because you had the true feelings for that person or when the love did not happen and you just had reasons to chose and you disguised those reasons under the cloak of love, you would always live a regretful life. No person who has loved truly would regret his/her decision what may come.
Love can never be regretful. It is the most beautiful emotion, feeling, expression and experience. It is the flow of life. When you are in love you feel so much alive and then how can you regret being in love? You regret later because either you had adultered your feelings previously or you are adulterating them now with your insecurities and expectations. Which again means you lack love. Love does not give you insecurities, infact it liberates you from every insecurity as it makes you feel so complete and you feel you will be able to handle anything in life with the power of your love.
Whenever you choose a person choose only out of love, if you use the cloak of love or you have adultered your feelings, you will regret but if you are with someone only because you love him/her, you will always be happy with that person what may come.
