We all have a beautiful tendency. We believe what we want to believe. Whenever something is told to us, we interpret what we really want to hear. So he believed that every power is within. There is no other God, whatever is inside us. And it’s true. God is inside everyone. And that’s the true God. He also learned that do not worry about worshiping an idol and, yes, if you have faith within, do not worry. And he said that the rest are stones and everything depends on intentions. Yes, everything depends on intentions. But then terminal illness struck him and he felt very weak. He did not have faith in anything outside him and inside him, he was feeling weak. His wife kept praying for him and deep down he wanted her to pray, but he kept saying, God does not exist. One day, he could not get up from bed and he screamed, ” God please help me. He started praying and he kept praying. He kept praying for days. And one day, he felt the light inside him. He felt that, there was an invisible power with him, he was never alone. His faith was restored and he started feeling stronger. He started feeling he would be fine. Once his faith was restored, he started recovering.
One gentleman asked me, so God is causing all these problems so that people bow in front of him and this kind of question makes me laugh. Because they do not know God and his love yet and they actually do not have faith. God is so loving that he would never harm anyone. But when we do not ask for him, we lose his protection, let’s say, he stops being our guardian because this is what we had asked for. Even if his heart was bleeding, seeing us falling flat, he holds back, because this is what we had asked. The moment we ask for him, he keeps waiting, and he jumps to help. He doesn’t hold that ego that earlier we turned away from him but now, why should he help. He simply forgives, loves, and helps.
When he is there, and we have faith, we can sail through anything. When we believe in him, we believe in ourselves, we believe in our own strength. When we turn away from him, we turn away from everything.
