There was a gentleman who was always very patient with his servants. He always would give them any money they would ask. One day his servant asked a big amount in front of his friend and he immediately gave it. His friend was very surprised and asked him the reason for his generosity. He also said things like they do not have any loyalty, they may lie, may not come back and many things. He smiled and said that I know and I know they may lie. I know for a small amount they can switch jobs but I also know why it happens. He shared a small incidence. He was stuck in some lonely area and he became unconscious. One person found him lying unconscious and took him to his home. They took care of him and fed him and he gained his strength in few days. That time he realized their man is working in some big city as a domestic servant and they have to manage with the little money he saves. So many times they have no food at home. Even Rs 10 means something extra for a child to eat. That’s why even for Rs 100 they can switch job. They are afraid that I might say no, that;s why they have ti lie for money. So that they do not have to lie, I do not ask anything. I have experienced their lives and I know how they are.
It is not only about the compassion for servants. It’s very easy to know few things and judge everyone around. But to know it truly, we need to experience it. One lady was acting so strong that she did not let anyone come near by her. Many said that she has attitude but in reality she was cheated by many and she had a family to take care of. One was very honest and he shared that he has paid the price of dishonesty in life. One lady left her husband after 20 years of married life. Her daughter always condemned her for that. But when she got married she went through similar situations which she had seen her mother going through. That time she went and asked her mom, how did you tolerate all that for 20 years!
Do not judge anyone. Always understand everyone around you. If not everyone, atleast your loved ones. If one is saying something see it from the eyes of experience. See how would you feel. To know life truly, the only way is to experience it. We grow, we become better with experiences of life. We do not have to go through all the experiences but few things would be common and we shall connect with every one with that like pain, lack of money (Even the richest have experienced it in different forms), loss of loved ones, feeling weak, broken trust, know people and be with them. That’s how we become one.
