He wanted to be a businessman. His father asked him, what would he do? How would he manage his family and many such questions. He said that he did not know. His father said that the future has to be secured. He was firm on one thing that he wanted to do his business. He told his father that he did not have all the answers but he will find all of them. He went to a big city, started doing petty jobs, struggled, slept on the footpath and in gurudwara and survived. He wanted to know what he could do. He started selling fruits door to door and finally, he opened his first shop after three years and then more shops.
She was not ready to get married. She had seen her mom and dad fighting. She had seen her mother suffering because her grandparents were not good to her mother. She was scared. But then she realized that she was thinking of her entire life in comparison with her mother’s life and that’s why she was feeling scared. In between, she also did not look at the good things which her mother had enjoyed. She did not have to take her entire life into consideration and get married. All she had to do was to trust her fate and start. She did that with faith in her heart. It turned out to be a good one. She had many hitches but she handled them on an everyday basis. After 20 years of marriage, she could feel happy and peaceful in her relationship and she said that she found her way every day!
Often in life, we want to feel secure and we want a guarantee of the future. We want to feel that we have everything under control. We can never have. Like it is said that life happens when you are busy making other plans. I am not saying we shall not plan. We shall, but we do not need to be scared of the future thinking it has to be 100% good and as per us. It is future, it is always unpredictable. We can see life only as much as our vision can go. Not beyond that. When we travel further, we would see it further.
Whatever you want to do in life, start, have faith, take one step at a time, have your vision clear and on the way, you will find your way. Just do the right thing, do not fall into the trap of easy way out.
