Met a person who was in deep depression. he had not spoken to anyone in last few months. He had stopped looking at himself in the mirror and he had stopped going out. No one in the family knew what had happened to him. He did not share anything with anyone. He did not even talk with anyone. His business was good, kids were good, no major ailment. It felt like everything was so perfect but what was eating him up.
Finally he spoke. In his office, one of his employees asked him for help as employees wife was in hospital. He could but he did not. In few days his wife died and it was because of lack of financial resources. That guilt was eating him up. He felt that he could have saved one life and more than one life he could have saved one family. Because it’s devastating for a family to lose the main female member. He wanted to do many things now but nothing was working for him. It took a lot of efforts for him to finally come out of it. He also supported the employees family which helped him a lot.
This was an extreme situation. But on everyday basis we do get small opportunities to improve lives. We are designed to help each other because we all are connected. One’s pain is other’s pain too. That is why when we feel we can help and we do not, we feel bad inside. We all are connected and the same consciousness flows through everyone. We have the same flow of life inside us. So we are a part of one Universal body. Not helping someone when we have an opportunity is like one body part is hurt and the other body part denies to put medicine on it. It is not an option, it is absolutely essential.
So help everyone where ever you can and you would be happy for yourself.
