Loving the self

So many times people come to me with a complain, though they do not voice it out openly, but the thing is we all want to be loved and when we feel we are not loved the way we are expected and we feel bad. Now, the person cannot go and tell the other person that you need to love me this way. The person starts suffering and takes out this pain in some other form, he/she may shout at someone who cannot voice out in front of him or may take it out in a similar way. Increasing the suffering for others.

Have you ever thought, this suffering is a state of mind? You decide things to be certain way and when they did not happen that way, you suffered. You could have change the things with the change of perception. First thing, you need to understand that you are the locus of control in your life. Whatever pain or happiness is your state of mind. Before you expect from others, have you ever thought that do you love yourself the way you are? If you do not how can you expect from others? So many times, you build justification for your actions, you keep self criticising and you feel guilty of many things which you thought should have been done by you. However, all these things decrease your self love, first you need to love yourself, then only others can love you and believe me, once you love yourself, you wouldn’t need someone else to love you, your heart would be so much full of love to embrace everyone comes on your way and you would never be devoid of love.
