I went to meet my friend and at that time she was preparing tea. I was waiting outside the kitchen and she called her maid. This is the first time I had gone to visit her at home. She asked her with great respect “aap chai loge“? The maid said yes. Again she asked in same voice and respect that if she would like to take some snacks too. I was amazed with the love and respect she was giving to her maid. I asked her after tea about same and she said that she works here and takes her money. I am not obliging her. Infact if my life is dependent on her. Anyway that is not the point. Just because I am paying her does not mean she deserves less respect and love. I loved her feelings. Made me wonder about the people who carry feudal lord mentality and treat their servants like bonded labors. After few days I met a gentleman who was talking to the doorman outside the hotel. He was talking to him like he knows him so well. I asked him about same and he said that one year back I had come here for dinner and at that time I had spoken few words with him. He recognized me after one year and asked me about my well being. I was again amazed because everyday so many people come to that hotel and thousands in one year but the doorman recognized someone after one year. The difference was the love and respect this gentleman had given in one small visit.
Sometimes people ask me what makes even blood relations fall apart and the answer is not greed for money or competition or jealousy. The answer is lack of love. If there would be love, there would be no place for all these things. People can live together if there would be love. If the relationships are motivated by anything else, they would always fall apart. I remember a case in which couple used to fight continuously and their families were trying to patch them up. Their efforts failed because they were trying to remove negativity. But in reality the problem got solved when love came between them. Do not focus on negativity, focus on creating more love and you would see all the problems resolving. Treat everyone with love, meet everyone with love, all we need is love. No one is asking for your car or money or home. people just need little love and respect. Are we that poor that we do not even have that?
