When I was going through tough times an old man in a park asked me, you look so worried. Why are you worried? Worried about giving personal details to a stranger, I smiled and said, it’s fine and I guess it should be ok. He smiled and said that, do not tell me, it’s ok. But tell me, do you trust God? I raised my eyes and looked at home. I said ofcourse. He said, then why are you so worried. Either you do not trust him, because if you would have trusted him, you would have felt that he is taking care of you. I told him that I trust that he is taking care of me. He started laughing and said, then why are you worried. Either you do not trust him or you would not be worried. If he is taking care of you, whatever is the situation, you will be fine. Whatever he is doing for you is done in your best interest. Nothing can be better than what is happening right now to you. I looked at him in amazement. Wondered that has God decided to guide me through him or was I talking to God? Do not know. But his words kept ringing in my ears, nothing can be better than what is happening to me (Even if it means it’s a difficult time) and I will be fine.
That day I learned the lesson of faith!. Before that I said that I believe in God but may be I did not realize that. But now, in every good and bad time, actually there are no bad times. The tough times are also equally good because they train us for bigger things. So now, in every good and bad time, I know he is around me, I know I am taken care of. I know I will sail through everything. I know I will complete my purpose. I know I am fine and I will be fine.
This faith is enough to give strength in tough time, even if it means walking on the bed of burning coals. Yes! If he is the one who is holding my hand, I cannot loose my way. I surrender myself to him. I let him guide me. I have faith.
