He was just 24 and he had a cardiac arrest. he was not rich. He belonged to a normal middle class family. at least 1000 people gathered outside his house on the day of his cremation. Somehow, everyone knew. The rickshaw pullers were not even charging if someone was visiting his cremation. The reason was simple. He always helped everyone he met. He spoke to them with so much kindness and love and was like their friend that everyone was his friend. If he had any money in his pocket, he always helped someone with that. If he did not have money, he kept his hand on their shoulder and gave a smile to assure, I am there. That was his legacy.
He had lots of money, but he was always rude to people. He was bed ridden for 6-7 years of his life. People cursed him. He had cursed everyone when he had strength and most of the people waited for him to die. When he died, people created many excuses not to visit him. Only the few, who were his closest family members were there at his funeral.
I am not saying, money is good or bad. You cannot do a lot of good things if you do not have money. You can share your half bread if someone asks for it. But what if your plate is empty. What would you share from an empty plate? Money is good if it brings out further good in you. You can do many many good things with money which you cannot do otherwise.
What I want to say here is, be kind. Leave your footprints with kindness. We leave our foot prints in the hearts of people we meet. Shall they look beautiful in their hearts or shall they feel like they are hurting, it is up to us. A kind person will always leave the footprints full of love and kindness. Whether you have money or not, be kind, be loving, be genuine.
