It’s not about you have. It’s about what you are.

He made his way in life by working hard and staying focused. He was a top businessman in the city. Everyone respected him and many wanted to be under him. I am so grateful that I got an opportunity to be with him. He worked 15-16 hours a day to reach to where he was and he was still working that much. So I asked him how he reached and what has he learned.

He said that many people started with him in his journey and they all shared similar dreams. They are also doing pretty well but what brought him to the top was his values, his attitude and his family. (God and destiny also must have played a role or at least it made him the way he was). So the learning was you need to have a very strong and good character. He said that he never compromised on his values or he learned in the beginning phase itself that never compromise on your values. Even if he tried deviating sometimes, (Though it is very tempting at that time) It always hit him very hard and he accepted that it’s nothing worth.

Whenever he gave up, he regretted. So he decide never to gave up again. He failed and learned and then worked hard.

Most important learning was, family is the most important thing. When someone comes and says I am with you, you can sail through everything. You cannot do it alone. There are moments when you are weak. But at that time when you see someone smiling, it brings all the strength back. However, it is never a one way street. You need to give them support and love to receive it back. You cannot take your family for granted. Love them, support them and they will love you back, will support you back.

After having all the things, I realized still what gives me peace is what I am. I feel happy that I love my family, society, country and this world. I feel happy I am able to make a contribution. I feel happy that I have stayed true to my words. I feel happy about being me. Even if I would have got the same thing (all business and money) and if I would not have been who I am, I would not have been happy and peaceful.

Without money we cannot be happy. It’s a lie that we do not need money to be happy. We need money but along with that we need everything else too. We cannot compensate one by other. We cannot compromise one for another. If someone is trying that, they open the door for unhappiness. So keep everything!
