My two girls come running if I have to give something to them like a medicine or candy or be it anything. But that running becomes hustle bustle, stepping over each other very soon in excitement. Then they might hurt each other also. Being a mother and a peace loving person I do not like this. So I told them, who so ever will come first will get first. But that also becomes a bigger fight. So I asked God, show me the direction. Here is what I got as an answer.
It’s one of my favourite part of Gita or Mahabharata. Arjuna and Duryodhan both needed Krishna’s help before war. So they both went to him to ask him for his help. THey both happened to arrive almost at the same time. Duryodhan reached first and found Krishna sleeping. So he sat near by his head. (I feel Duryodhan represents our ego here and it sits in head). Arjuna also finds Krishna sleeping and sat towards his feet. (Arjun represents love and surrender). So Krishna opens his eyes and notices Arjun and asks him the reason for his visit. Duryodhan intervenes and says that he came first and he would ask first for whatever he needed. Krishna said that he noticed Arjun first so he would give that privilege of asking first to Arjun. He also said that on one side it is his entire army and help and on the other side it’s him only who will stand without any armaments. Arjun can choose whatever he likes. Duryodhan was scared that what if Arjun would choose the army? What can anyone do with Krishna who would not even touch any weapon the war. But to his surprise Arjun happily chooses Krishna (Who represents love) and says that if Krishna can only be his guide, that’s all he needed. (Let love be my guide). So It was decided. But then who won the battle? Arjuna and everyone on the other side died. Because love was guiding him, lord himself was guiding him.
Does not matter what it looks like right now, but the battle would be won by the one who has love as his guide. Who has chosen love, one who has chosen surrender.
