Everyone has own journey. Everyone travels one. You would cross paths with many on the way but still everyone has own unique journey and every goal achieved and every accomplishment will be established as a mile stone as journey would not end till the time you are alive. The journey would always continue. You become what you want to be and then you would have something else which you would want. Even a complacent man wants the next thing, it depends on the goal you set. He might get complacent with the job, then he would want a family and then he would want his children to grow and he would put his efforts for same. Sooner or later we all establish different mile stones, it depends on which road we have chosen to reach to the destination. Someone would travel from Delhi to Kanyakumari via Mumbai and someone would travel via Hyderabad. Let’s say, every city you pass on the way is the milestone and you finally reach to the destination. Every one’s life is like a river which emerges from the source and meets own source in the ocean. The river would pass through many destinations and cities, like you can see Ganges in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Varanasi and many more and then it will meet the ocean. Even if you want, you cannot stop the river before it meets its destination, same way, life will never stop with just one mile stone. You will keep living life until you reach to final destination where you would be meeting the source. Few days back, during one of the programs, one person came and asked me, what is success and what about the past successes. And the answer is same. First thing, success is how you define it, for someone passing the exam is success, for someone good marks and for someone securing the first position. Second thing every success you define becomes one mile stone in your journey and you keep setting up more as we never settle after setting up one. We always have a next target. When we are in school we want to get admission in a good college, then we want to have a good job, then we want a promotion, then we start looking for personal growth like toward self actualization, then we want a good partner, then we want kids and it continues. We always remember the years and dates when we had established those milestones, that is why we have anniversaries. Who can forget the last day of the school, first job, first date, date of marriage, when the child was born and the list is as long as the number of mile stones we have in life. WE keep setting up milestones and keep travelling the journey. The final destination is meeting the source through death. That’s the only destination we reach rest all is a part of the journey.
