If you want to feel happy feel grateful. If you want to feel peaceful feel grateful. If you want to heal feel grateful.

He was suicidal. And he was always complaining. This is not good, that is not good, everyone is bad. As per him, lots of things were bad around him and he did not want to live with that. So what he had to realize? That whatever we have received first we need to be grateful rather than finding faults. If someone gives us a gift and we reject that, how would that person feel? And if we continue doing that, what would happen? Eventually that person will stop getting us gifts. When we are constantly complaining, we stop receiving what was coming to us. However, if we want to expand what we have and we want to be happy, we really need to see what we have and then we would see how happy we can be. If we keep looking at whats not there, how can we be happy.

One gentleman had lots of complaints from life. He did not receive this and that. He could not sleep properly. So after he kept giving his list for what he did not receive, I asked him, what about the list of what you have received. It took him a week to make that because he really had to work hard on that. as he was always focused on what he did not receive. So I asked him, have you ever paused to be grateful and the answer was no. But what he realized was during that week he was more peaceful than other days.

One lady had health issues. She was supposed to go for a surgery. Her daughter did not want. She wanted to protect her mother. So she sat in the temple at home and started writing for thank you God for healing my mother and bringing her back home without surgery and healthy. HEr mother actually was healed and did not have to go through surgery. Gratitude was healing her.

We have all the ingredients of life. What we want to make out of that it’s upto us. I would say make something better. Best ingredient is Gratitude. It can make anything better.
