I asked God, what do you want to say today. The first thing I heard was, if you surrender and come with love to me, you become one with me. Which means you are everything. If you have ego, you have nothing. because then you are standing against me. In that situation, your identity is nothing in comparison to this whole Universe. Not even equal to the point of a needle. It reminds me of the incidence from Mahabharata, when Arjuna and Duryodhan both went to Krishna for help and seek his support in the great battle of history, Krishna saw Arjuna first as he was sitting towards feet (Arjuna represents surrender) and Duryodhan who was sitting towards head (represents ego) was seen later. So Krishna asked Arjuna for the purpose of his visit. Duryodhan was arguing that he came first. So Krishna said that he saw Arjun first. And also Krishna said, one side it will be me and on another side my entire army. Duryodhan was worried, what if Arjun will ask for the army. But as expected, Arjun asked for Krishna even if he pledged not to touch any arms and Duryodhan got army which he wanted. But who won we all know.
In ego we might feel we have bigger prospects, but its love which brings Universal support. because love binds the whole Universe and ego breaks it. So with love, we have even God supporting us in everything we do and in ego, we push away own divinity.
Love is light and ego is darkness. Absence of love is ego. person who is in love would not hold back ego.
