One gentleman came, who was fighting depression. He hated himself and he hated the choices he made that also included he kept on following people who cheated him. He hated himself because he ignored his own family for that. He said, that he wanted to come out of depression!
He had fear and a big fear of being alone.
I asked him, what would he have done if his son would have done the same thing? He thought for a while and said that he would have asked his son to forget everything and hugged him! So he had the answer. HE did whatever he could and he never cheated anyone. HE ignored his family and supported others. These others were also his own brother and friends. They cheated him in business but he never cheated. So was this the guilt of ignoring the family or anger for his brother and friends. Both! But still, he had to make amendments. What others did he could not undo that but what he had done to his own wife and kinds he could work on that. So he went to his wife, asked her to forgive him and in the next year, he changed everything for her. She told him one day that she does not have any bad feelings anymore and now, she can see how much he loves her. He was feeling relieved.
He forgave himself and that’s how he could take corrective actions so that his wife could forgive him. He started loving himself, and now his wife also gave him all the love she felt. there was no anger or depression> true healing had happened.
Any healing is not possible without love. HE started loving himself, and he felt he was the happiest man. That time he realized that loving yourself is not an option if you really want to be happy. He was unhappy, and in depression, because he did not love himself.
Love yourself. Forgive yourself. Do kind things. Use kind words for others and yourself. Love your loved ones. Do the right things and you will be the happiest version of yourself.
