Why do you wake up early to go to office, so that you can earn your living? Why do you work hard to give better means to your family, so that they can be happy and it would make you further happy. Why do you eat food, you are hungry or maybe you want to have a good taste. Why do you plan a holiday, because you want to have a nice time may be alone or with family. Why do we send our children to schools, so that they can learn and can become better individuals in the future. So whatever we do in life, we do it with a purpose, starting from waking up in the morning to eating and working. If you do not have that purpose then you will never feel like doing anything. If you are not hungry, you would not eat, if you will not get a salary you will not work in that office. A mother goes through all the pain while giving birth to a child as she has a purpose that she is bringing her child into this world, she won’t bear all the pain, if it would not have been her own child. Everyone, does everything for a purpose. Then how can you think you have taken birth without a purpose?
You do everything with a purpose then why would God create you without a purpose? However, the sad part is we don’t bother to think about the purpose and keep living the precious life in a directionless manner. We think whatever we are doing is the purpose, if that’s the case, then where is the difference between humans and animals? How many bother to ask the purpose and if you don’t know the purpose, you get stuck as you don’t know where you are headed and if you are going in the right direction of light or not. Once in a seminar when I asked people that what’s their purpose and if we have bothered to ask ourselves our purpose, then one elderly gentleman said that uptil now we have been thinking that get married, have children and settle them has been the purpose. How innocent! First thing I always believe that we should ask the questions from self instead of relying on someone else, because, the God is inside us and he guides us. Second think, when we have a question. We would find the answer. But the problem is we fail to ask the question. Now let’s come back to our question. You get married, so that you have a companion and have children, you bring them up and give them best facilities so that they can grow up to have better lives. Amidst all this you go through various ups and downs of life, we see different sides of life, some moments are happy, some are difficult, some are challenging but why do we go through so much? Why do we even take birth? It cant be just to have children and then die! Something has to be bigger than just living or else why do we even have to live? If we are living and given this life, there is a purpose and we only can find that purpose. So find your purpose that why are you here and then only you will have the contentment of living.
