Yesterday a lady called up who was discussing her dilemma. She shared that she wanted to train her 5 years son on Universal oneness and Bhagwadgita. So to simplify things, she told him, we all are one and we all have same God present inside us. We shall treat and know everyone is equal and same. Next day when her maids 4 years old son came, her son gave all his food to him. It annoyed her a little but she did not say anything. Next day the child was eating in her son’s plate and next day he was sitting on her bed. Now, the next question was from me, why do you want your son to know Universal oneness and Gita. Her quick response was to know the values. And why he has to know the values? She did not know the answer as she was told only this much by her elders. Teach value to your kids. So the answer was, so that he will become a better human being if he will follow those values. So now, when her son is following the values which she wanted him to train on, she was feeling trouble. As there was a conflict between her value system and belief system. Values, she also learned. But belief was ego. That we are different and we all have to be treated differently.
It’s a common thing for all of us. Our values or what we know will always have a conflict with what we do. So what is the solution?
We must follow and practice what we have learned. These things were not taught so that we should know them but to align us with the purpose of our birth. Which is to ascend as a soul. The problem is we want to think like a soul but we think like a physical body. Now physical body has ego and soul does not. If we think as a soul, ego has to die, the awareness will come from spirit rather than mind. But if we will think like a physical body then all the aspects of physical body which also includes ego will come into play. Now, the purpose of soul to get into this physical body is to have awareness of spirit inside this body which means overcoming ego.
So let what we know and what we do become one. The only way to let that happen is through love. Only love can guide us for that. When love is the Guide, God becomes our guide. When ego is the guide, devil becomes our guide. We have to choose between devil and God or love and ego to follow oneness.
