Have a loving relationship with your body. Look at it with love.

Someone called up few days back. She has been working on losing weight for years and has lost also. But she is never satisfied. Because she did not eat a healthy diet all those years, she has started developing many ailments in her body. I asked her how does she look at her body? What does she tell her body when she looks at it in the mirror? What does she tell herself when she is eating that food?

She had shared few revelations:
When I look at my body, I tell myself, I am not good enough
I tell myself that how many bulges I have
If I could be so slim like …..
If I could be so fair like…
If I could be someone I am not

So when I eat I feel guilty because it is taking me backwards fro my goal
I try to do incessant exercises to keep a check sometimes which are not allowed by my body
I am not happy when I eat anything
I feel jealous when someone is slim and eating

So if you have these kind of things running in your head all the time, how would you be happy and how would your body react?

If you are told all the negative things whole day, how would you feel? What if your body has own mind? What if your DNA is reacting to what you are saying?

This all is happening. So what shall we do?
When you look at your body appreciate it
Love it
Be kind towards it
Be grateful for it to serve you.
Remember the purpose of your body is to serve you to carry out daily things. You are not using it for that purpose but you are using it for looks. Its a vehicle, use it and take care of it, it will serve you better. take care of it with love.
