She wanted to break her engagement and her reason was simple. My parents have such a great relationship. They care for each other. They love each other. They care for each other’s families. I do not think this guy will do this with me. I do not think, this can happen.
I asked her, have you asked your mother how was the journey? How was their relationship in the beginning? What you see is the destination travelled after a journey of 35 years. She spoke to her mother and realized, even her own father was very carefree in the beginning. They used to have lots of fights. They used to argue over every small thing. They used to blame each others parents. She was shocked hearing everything. She wondered then how did they work it out?
Her mother told her that every day, they worked it out. They talked to each other. Discussed with each other. They wanted everything to work out. They genuinely worked hard for each other’s happiness and also to help each other in understanding. They fought to solve not to blame. They also supported each other in each other’s goals, each other’s families and then it started working out. It was not easy and it took a few years. But once the road was built, it was smooth.
The girl realized that the dream which she was looking at was possible but it had to be built brick by brick and it will not be possible without putting an effort. She continued and finally it worked out.
