I was reading a story titled Foot prints. One day a man was sitting on the sea shore and he was feeling sad. he felt that God was also sitting next to him. The man was thinking of committing suicide as he was tired of his life struggles. God shows him the foot prints of his journey. When he was looking at that he realized that there were two pairs of foot prints and he wonders whose prints they have been. God smiles and says the second pair is mine. The man gets strength but then he again becomes sad seeing that in his toughest times there was only one pair and he complains to God that you left me when I needed you most. God smiles and says that in those times you can see only one pair because I had picked you up in my arms.
He is with each one of us like he is with only one. He is with everyone with all his strength and love. However, he never comes and says that because he is with us with love rather than ego. Ego would go and tell and would want the person to know that its doing something but love simply does without expecting. Such is true love and strength we are blessed with.
Whenever I have felt low, I always remember this story and I know he is holding me. I know he is holding my hand. I know he has my back. I know I have someone to fall back on. I know I am never alone. Just knowing this gives new strength always.
Ask for strength when you are low.
Ask for wisdom when you are stuck.
Ask for the way when you are lost.
Ask for love when you are lonely.
Ask him to be your guide.
Ask him to hold you when you are falling.
Make him your strength and you will never be alone. Because he says I am always with you.
