Once during the testing times, when I felt like being pulled from all the directions, I asked God, where are you? I felt he was saying, right here with you always. But then, why I can’t see you, feel you or know you. he smiled and said when haven’t you felt me? He was right. But then why do we have testing times?
He answered, don’t you send your children to play, to compete, to run, to write exams? Do you make them sit at home all the time? Do you just want to give them comfort all the time and do nothing? What would happen, if we keep giving them comfort? Well, if we do not challenge them, then definitely they will not develop and grow in the right direction. And we would want them to grow as a mature and strong individual.
But if you have challenged them, does it mean, you have left their side? Never! We are always around. To watch over them, to support them, to guide them, sometimes, by holding a hand, sometimes by hugging them and sometimes, we might even have to scold them.
So God said, why do you think I would leave your side any time?
And I am speechless.
But then, what do we have to do to feel him more?
Hug him more! Ask for him more. A mother is always around the child more. Or let’s say, she is always around the baby more. The child keeps following the mother where ever she goes. So the mother is always there. She is less there physically when the child leaves her.
More we follow him, more we ask of him, more he is there. But he is always there. He never leaves our side.
