At the age of 54, after running his business successfully, when he had to close down his factory, he felt like he should be dead rather than going through this phase again. He was giving up. But his son reminded him that how strong he was. He shared that, when his son was talking to him, he felt that it was like divine himself was guiding him through his son. His son always told him, you are the strongest dad I have seen. You are stronger than I am. At this age also, you have more strength than me. After that whenever he felt lost, he looked at his son and his son reminded him of same.
He felt like when God has not given up on me, when my family has not given up on me, how can I give up? Their faith in me means I can do it again. When he told himself so, he was able to stand up on his feet again. HE started a new factory and his son wanted to tell him that at that age he did not need to but then his son realized that it is not about the age, it is about how you feel. Finally, he was running a successful factory again after 5 years of down phase.
Yes, we all are scared of down time. We all are scared of having to struggle again. At younger age we all have been there. We all have done that. But as we grow old, we settle into comfort zone, we get fears. We fear losing everything and starting over again. But in life we never have option. We do not need to live with fear. We need to do all we can that day. We need to take one day at a time. We can’t keep creating all negative situation in mind and keep crying. Everyday, we can do whatever we can and we will be able to sail through everything because God is walking by our side. HE never stopped having faith in us. He never stopped loving us. Which means we are worthy of his love. Which also means we are worthy of his faith and which means we can do it! So believe in yourself and start over!
