When ever there is a festival, there is always a mythological significance behind it. However, what I have realised is these festivals were designed by smart people with some other significance. They had a purpose so that people can take a break from daily monotonous life and can realise that there are other things also which have importance in life like family, relations which give you more happiness than earning money or daily routine. They designed them because they knew that until it is imposed, people will not take a break so they imposed the breaks too.
However, these days, things are losing relevance as priorities like always are ever changing. Festivals are becoming formality, breaks are welcomed but with different priorities. Relation ships are becoming formality because of hypocrisy of the culture. People do things just because they are suppose to do not because they want to do. If you do not want to do, why are you doing it, stop it, have the courage to defy the laws of this society and live your life the way you want to? Why are you even getting into the thing which you do not believe in? Either way you are living an incomplete life which is forced upon you.
Have the courage to defy the things which you do not want or else do them whole heartedly, do not live a life full of formalities and its hurting you only.
