When his elder son was born, he was excited and had lots of hope from him. However, his elder son turned out to be very sensitive and did not meet his expectations. He started somewhere hating his son and would shout at him, proving him he was good for nothing. Then after 4 years his another son was born and he turned out to be the way he had thought. This made him reject his elder son further. In a year or so, the elder one who was just few years old was battling depression as he stopped talking to anyone and would cry on any small incidence. He started screaming that you guys do not need me. Below the hatred was fatherly love which came out now and he was worried for his son. Now, he wanted to see his son happy but did not know what to do. He started speaking to people, doctors, researched online and he realized what he had been doing to his son. He started appreciating his son and started working on what was good in his son. After sometime the son started responding and he was able to find out that his happiness lies in painting. earlier he had discarded painting saying nothing can be earned from that but he gave colors back to his son. His son started making beautiful pieces of art and recovered. After that his son won many prizes in various drawing competitions in his school and at inter school level. He wondered that was it him who had suppressed his son? His elder son always made him feel proud but not in the way he had expected!
It is a human nature that we expect people or everyone and this world to be certain way and when we cant see that, we feel it is not perfect. It is also another nature to find what is not good, may be it satisfies our ego. We think someone else’s strength is one’s weakness. But it is not true, everyone comes with own strength and personality. So it is everyone’s duty to find good and to see what is the greatest gift inside. We need to encourage each other so that the society and everyone can start improving rather than discouraging everyone. God has made this world perfect the way it is. We need find out the reason that why it is perfect rather than finding the reasons to prove why it is imperfect. We cannot grow by finding faults we can grow by finding strength as that would start increasing the strength.
